Flash flooding in Roanoke blocked roads for several hours and threatened
homes and businesses.

On Peters Creek Road business owners hurried to save their inventory from
rising water.
This car dealer rushed to move vehicles before high water could cause

Homes on North Ridge Road also fell victim to the storm as residents sought

Sacks is subbing for the injured Robbie Gordon in the Coors Chevy.
And his speed today was over a half a mile an hour quicker than the speed
pole sitter Joe Nemechek posted yesterday.
Here's how the back end of the field stacks up.

SUPER=03-Sarnico, Italy;
60 students of the Italian Rescue Dog School showed their stuff at a lake in
Northern Italy.
They're members of the only canine helicopter lifesaving unit in Europe.
The dogs are trained to leap from helicopters and tow their human victims to
safety by using a special harness on their muzzles.
The founder of the school says dogs make great life-savers because they're
naturally strong swimmers.
Graduates of the training school saved ten people from drowning last year.
