In women's basketball, Virginia Tech assistant coach Beth Dunkenberger is
leaving the Lady Hokies to take an assistant's coaching job at Florida.
No replacement has been named and Tech will begin interviewing for the
vacancy in August.

In Baseball, Tech ace pitcher Denny Wagner has come to terms with the
Oakland Athletics.
His contract is worth 300 thousand dollars. Wagner reports to Class A ball

The Roanoke Wrath's summer soccer camps opened this week all over the
valley as kids age 6 to 15 began getting their kicks.

Count to Bedford.
The strength of this camp is obviously the interaction between the kids and
some of the state's premiers soccer players.
