Our top story--

Milton David Hooper...
Good Evening, you're watching NEWS-7 Primetime on WEFC.
I'm Connie Stevens.
More than 200 mourners were at the Roanoke City Police Chief's funeral and
M-David Hooper, age 67, died of cancer earlier this week.
August first would have been his 30th anniversary as Chief.
Hooper was well known in Virginia and throughout the country.
Law enforcement officers lined up at the funeral for Chief Hooper at Saint
Andrews Catholic Church.
He was remembered as a very private man who held a very public post.
A man who valued integrity, honesty and loyalty.
