The Brady ruling has essentially NO impact on Virginia.
Virginia was the first state to do instant background checks on firearms purchasers, starting in 1989.
So the Virginia State Police say they'll keep doing the checks under state law, regardless of the ruling.
Since 1989, the State Police have run almost 1-point-3 million background checks, and denied gun sales to over 12-thousand people with prior records.

The panel said the district is UNconstitutional because race was the predominant factor in determining the lines.
