An Arkansas State Trooper says he lied when he confirmed stories about
President Clinton's reported marital infidelities while he was governor.
A published report quotes an affidavit given by trooper Ronald Anderson to
Clinton's lawyers in 1994.
Anderson says he confirmed the stories, even though he knew they were,
quote, "nothing but old fish tales."
He said he did it, because he thought it might prove profitable after
Clinton was nominated for president.
Anderson claims a long-time Clinton foe offered troopers high paying jobs in
exchange for help in undermining the president's campaign.

hope.

The air force offered a hanger at a nearby air base.
People from around the country sent dresses and tuxedos.
Even the band Soul Asylum offered their services for free.
And last night the kids of Grand Forks had their prom where, at least for
one night, they could forget about the devastating floods and be themselves.
