Judge Turk says the there is "substantial likelihood" that Virginia's
parental notification law is UNconstitutional -- so he's temporarily blocked it
from taking effect.

Well, parents, teens, and doctors closely watching this law are seeing some
last minute lawyering.
Judge Turk's ruling came down around two o'clock.
By four o'clock, the state had already appealed to stop the restraining
order and lost.
The basic problems with the law, according to Planned Parenthood, involve
Juvenile and Domestic Relations Judges having a lot of leeway if a pregnant
teen comes to them to bypass her parents.

the first time since he was put on forced administrative leave in March.
Doctor John Presley held a news conference across from the V-A this morning,
to give his side of the story.

Connie, Doctor John Presley believes he's the victim of a conspiracy to get
rid of him.
He says the Department of Veteran's Affairs has had him on leave for three
months because it's investigating claims that he sexually harassed employees at

In federal court today, Longaker's attorney pointed out Meredith still has

Smoking isn't good for you as we all know...
but smoking cigarettes is worse for you than smoking pipes or cigars.
A study of 21-thousand men showed that those who switched from cigarettes
to pipes or cigars cut in half their risk of dying from cancer or heart
But they still had a higher risk than non-smokers.
The study's authors say smoking cigars and pipes means lower amounts of
tobacco because smokers don't inhale as much.
Researchers have a warning for women and their doctors-- be careful with
medication, because women and men respond differently.
And it seems many common treatments have only been tested on men.
