Keith, Planned Parenthood challenged the parts of this law that allow
pregnant teens to bypass their parents and let a judge decide.
Judge Turk's opinion seems to agree that judges have too much leeway.

Frank Helvestine told a detective he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, but
quit, a few years before a racially motivated bombing that killed a two year

Judge Diane Strickland is still considering whether or not to allow the

evidence is missing.
Pieces of the pipe bomb have vanished from the state labs.
The prosecutor says the men who collected and tested the evidence are still

A Henry County man is behind bars tonight, accused of shooting a woman to
death over the weekend.
Police arrested 36- year- old Marshall Junior Martin Saturday night on
charges of first- degree murder and using a firearm to commit a felony.
They say Martin shot 37- year- old Stephanie Parler in the head and left her
body at the end of Tommy Carter Road.
The driver of the car says he took Martin away from the area but later
stopped to call 911.

Police say Parler knew both the suspect and the driver, and she left her
home with them voluntarily.
Assault charges were dismissed today against Salem High School Coach Walter
Braine was accused of kicking a 15- year- old student during gym class.
Braine's attorney conceded that the he "tapped" the student on the leg, but
said he didn't assault him.

Presley was brought to Salem in 1992 as a troubleshooter, after the bodies
of several patients were found on the hospital grounds.
He says he has never sexually harassed anyone.

The president of the National Business College wants to keep a sexual
harrassment suit behind closed doors as a federal judge decides whether to
dismiss the case.
The charge comes from the vice president of the college.
Lisa Meredith says National Business College president Frank Longaker made
sexual advances to her last June.
She says when she turned him down, he became angry and refused to let her

A visibly shaken Mike Tyson emerged from his suite at the MGM Grand hotel at
about 5:30 eastern time today to meet with reporters.
A week ago he had hoped that this day, his 31st birthday, would be reserved
for celebrating his regaining of the heavyweight title.
Instead, Tyson was trying to regain some of his reputation as he attempted to
explain why he bit off part of Evander Holyfield's right ear Saturday night.
