condition this morning after being shot Saturday night.
Craighead got into an argument with 21- year- old Dewayne Timothy of

Police say Timothy then shot Craighead.
Timothy is charged with malicious wounding.

An attorney says he never offered jobs or money to Arkansas state troopers
in order to undermined then- Governor Bill Clinton.
Trooper Ronnie Anderson is quoted in both "The New Yorker" and "Time"
magazines accusing attorney Cliff Jackson of offering 100- thousand- dollar- a-
year jobs to troopers IF they publicized alleged Clinton scandals.
Jackson says the trooper's affidavit is "totally false".
He says the trooper was acting out of anger to one of his clients.

A University of Virginia study says foreign-born Virginians are better
educated than native Virginians.
Seventy-five percent of native Virginians had high-school diplomas
in 19-90, compared to 78 percent of foreign-born Virginians.
More foreign-born residents had bachelor degrees than native residents,
and almost 15 percent of foreign-born residents had graduate or
professional degrees compared to ten percent of natives.
The study was by Donna Tolson of U-V-A's Weldon Cooper Center for Public
Service.
