A man armed with a handgun walked into this First Federal bank and demanded
money.
He escaped on foot, but was spotted a few minutes later by Investigator
Larry Booth.
While a citizen used Booth's police radio to direct other officers to the
scene, Booth struggled to arrest the suspect.
34- year- old Darryl C. Delancey was finally caught, hiding in some nearby
bushes.
He's being held without bond on robbery and firearms charges.
Police say Delancey was just paroled last fall, after serving 13 years in
prison for ANOTHER bank robbery in Virginia Beach.
