Meantime in Blacksburg, the Department of Education has cited Virginia Tech for failing to ACCURATELY report an alleged 19-94 campus rape.
The agency said Tech failed to list the complaint of former student Christy Brzonkala under the correct year and failed to include procedures for reporting sex offenses in its campus security report.
No penalty is involved, but the school could face fines or suspension from federal student aid if violations continue.
A Tech spokesman called the findings (quote) ``bureaucratic nit-picking'' but said Tech will comply.

An attempt to flee from a Roanoke police officer led to a fiery car crash.
Now the Salem man who was driving the vehicle involved in the accident is expected to face charges.

SUPER=03-Roanoke;

Investigators say 25-year-old Christopher Todd DeWeese ran off the road and crashed into a tree AFTER a police officer recognized him at Mill Mountain Park.
DeWeese was thrown from the truck, which burst into flames.
Two passengers were trapped in the truck, their bodies burned beyond recognition.
They have not been identified, yet.
DeWeese was hospitalized, but police say his injuries are not life threatening.
At the time of the accident he was wanted for a probation violation, and for failing to appear in court.
Investigators haven't decided what charges to file against DeWeese.
