Two men, blown off a barge last night by a powerful fireworks explosion are still missing.
The Coast Guard and other rescue boats spent the day searching the Mississippi River in Alton, Illinois.
Storms had forced rescue workers to call off their search until tomorrow morning.
One man was killed on board the barge.
Authorities say the men were wearing heavy flame retardant clothing that may have dragged them under the fast river current.
