The federal appeals judge who cleared the way for Virginia's new parental
notification law is explaining his decision.
Judge Michael Luttig released a 37- page ruling yesterday, BLASTING Judge
James Turk for his temporary injunction of the law Monday.
Luttig disagrees with Turk on every major provision of his ruling.
He writes that the status quo should be upheld until the constitutionality
of the law is decided...
And that status quo is "that which the People have wrought, not that which
unaccountable federal judges impose on them."
Planned Parenthood has appealed Luttig's ruling.
