with forcing another student to drink large quantities of alcohol.

Bradley Baylor was accused of forcing Todd Pringle to drink numerous shots
of bourbon last July-- or he'd be beaten.
Pringle testified several others were also involved but he couldn't pinpoint
any names.
Pringle was found lying unconscious on the sidewalk with a blood alcohol
content FOUR times the legal limit.
Part of his head had been shaved.
Judge Ray Grubbs said he BELIEVED portions of Pringle's story, but he said
the state failed to prove Brad Baylor was responsible.

Charges were dismissed against Nathaniel Williams.
The Tech football player was accused of taking part in a fight outside
Squires Student Center.
The brawl seriously injured two track team members.
In court-- Williams' attorney introduced a tape in which one of the track
team members named several people involved in the incident-- but Williams was
not mentioned.
Another player charged in connection with the incident is still in court.
Sean Sullivan's trial is expected to wrap- up shortly.

botched burglary attempt.

21-year-old Richard Michael Stokes of Martinsville faces six charges,
including statutory burglary, grand larceny, and attempted murder.
Police believe Stokes was with 21-year-old Randall Lee Gilbert when the pair

When the homeowner surprised the would-be burglars, Stokes allegedly fired
at him and fled the scene.

The Air Travelers Association report gives every major U.S. carrier an A,
except Valujet, which got an F.
It compared fatal accidents with total flights over ten years... problem is,
Valujet has only operated for 3 years, which means, with few flights, and one
fatal, it fails, while U.S. air with millions of flights and six fatals, gets a
near perfect score.
A Valujet spokesperson called the report "very misleading".

Todd Curtis, an aviation safety expert who publishes the Airsafe Journal on
the web says a rating based on fatal accident rates is a reflection of history
and not necessarily a predictor of the future, and that's the case whether the
addident rate is zero, or much higher than average.
So what's the point of the report?
The president of the Air Travlerers Association, David Stempler says it's a way
to introduce people to the company.
To get the "free" report, you have to pay a four-ninety-five handling fee
with your credit card, and you WILL be automatically enrolled in the Air
Travelers Association, which, if you don't cancel, will cost you fifty dollars
a year.
Stempler told us the report is only supposed to reflect the airline's past
performance, and not future safty.
He said "I can't tell you what's going to happen tomorrow".
