night.

Cuban rescue workers on naval boats and air force planes have found
17-bodies so far.

today.
A truck careened into the crowd, killing a woman waiting for a wash and a
12-year-old girl.
A softball team was trying to raise money to attend a state tournament.
The teenage driver of the truck hasn't been charged-- police are still
trying to determine if the truck had a mechanical malfunction.

their animals are safe.
This comes after a judge convicted, 30-year-old Donnie Chaffee, a fair
worker, of animal cruelty.

in jail for striking this elephant-- Butch-- several times with a section of

A petting zoo attendant and witness says Butch was no threat.

Doctors transplanted fetal
tissue into an unidentified 43 year old man paralyzed waste down and suffering
from something called Syringomyelia.
DR. FESSLER: THE TRANSPLANT PART OF THE OPERATION..THAT IS THE NEW PART OF THE
PROCEDURE..WENT BETTER THAN WE HOPED..IT WAS AS SMOOTH AS IT COULD BE.
Syringomyelia is when fluid-filled cavities within damaged spinal coeds
expand..causing tremendous pain..and loss of feeling and movement.
Researchers hope the transplanted nerve tissue will grow..filling the
cavity..and limiting further damage.
