Virginia state police got a surprise when they checked the license plate of a car which refused to stop for troopers in Henry County this weekend.
The car was carrying three half brothers and a teenage girl suspected in an Atlanta area murder.

Police think the 17 year old girl lured her 18 year old boyfriend Vernon Greer to a Georgia park Friday night.
The girl and three other males

William Byrd basketball coach Paul Barnard was back on the hardwood tonight after being cleared of assault charges in a courtroom earlier in the day.

The father of one of Barnard's players swore out a warrant, claiming the 61-year old coach had bumped the boy with his chest and shoulders.
Coach Barnard said it was the boy's father, BILLY Belcher, who struck him, hard enough to knock Barnard down.

The VMI track and field team signed seven athletes to scholarship papers today, including the first two female scholarship athletes in the 158 year history of the school.
Rachel Love, a distance runner from Emmaus, Pennsylvania and discus thrower Kelly Sullivan from Jackson, Georgia will both join head coach Mike Bozeman.

The Phoenix International Raceway was purchased today by someone other than Bruton Smith, the man who controls Texas, Charlotte, and Bristol.
International Speedway Corporation which owns, Daytona, Talladega, Darlington and Watkins Glen, purchased the 65 thousand seat one mile oval this morning.
One of the ISC's first priorities will be adding 25 thousand news seats.
Bill France Jr. is the CEO of International Speedway Corporation.

You many remember back in the spring that Miller's three million dollar lake home burned to the ground in a fire that had destroyed 70 percent of the house before fireman could even reach it.
Today investigators say they are confident Miller is a victim of arson.
Reggie is offering $10 thousand dollars for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Today's stage nine was a 113 mile ride with Laurent Brochard winning by 14 seconds.
