The story of the two West Virginians began three years ago, when Dena Parry

About the same time, Dempsey found out he had severe kidney disease.
The transplant operation is scheduled for next month.

shot gave the mets a 1-nothing lead.
In the 6th, Jon Nunnally puts the Reds up 2-1 on this solo blast off Bobby
Jones that gets over the right field fence in a hurry.
Everett would find the power again. This time in the 8th he smacks a two
run homer and the mets down the Reds 5-3.
SUPER=03-Miami/Padres vs. Marlins;
The Padres felt the heat in Miami as they visiting the Florida marlins at
pro Player Stadium.
Trailing 3-nothing in the fourth, Gary Sheffield gets all of this pitch.
His 12th homer on the season closes the gap to 2, but The Padres hammer the
Marlins 10-2.
SUPER=03-Atlanta/Dodgers vs. Braves;
The Braves hosted Mike Piazza and his Dodgers at Turner Field. Trailing
2-nothing in the third, LA's Raul Mondesi jacks this Tom Glavine pitch out of
the park. The three run homer puts the Dodgers out in front by 1.
Then Atlanta's Crime Dog, Fred Mcgriff takes a bite out of the Dodgers with
a solo homerun. The Braves edge Los Angeles 5-4.

The Richmond Rage of the American Basketball League has officially traded
cities.

The Skins have until August 2nd before they play their first preseason game.
