They will be back negotiating tomorrow morning, and then they'll take a
break for two days, and start back up on Sunday afternoon.

of convicted killer Joseph O'Dell tonight.
He was executed at the Greensville Correctional Center, for the 1985 rape
and murder of a Virginia Beach woman.
O'Dell was put to death by lethal injection two hours after the U.S. Supreme
Court refused to hear his last appeal.
In his final statement, O'Dell said his marriage at the prison today to
legal advisor Lori Urs made this the happiest day of his life.
Virginia's corrections director read from the statement, which included a
message for the governor.

O'Dell is the 41st person executed in Virginia since capital punishment was
reinstated twenty years ago.

A Danville man pled no contest to murder charges today.
34-year old Frank Edward Clements got a life sentence for murdering Tyrone
Dawkins in 1993.
Dawkins body was found behind a Danville middle school.
Clements must also serve two years for using a firearm to commit a felony.
He must still stand trial for allegedly shooting 10-year old Reggie Hutchins
in April and robbing a Danville bank five years ago.
A federal judge has thrown out Michael Knowles' defamation claim against

Knowles was convicted last month of killing his wife... but not before he
wrote a letter to the nationally- published advice columnist.
In the letter last February he clearly stated that he took Angie's Knowles

The mayor of Miami Beach says a body found on a houseboat earlier tonight
has been tentatively identified as that

The Chicago Bulls have taken a big step in keeping the championship team
together by signing head coach Phil Jackson.
Jackson agreed to a one year contract extension with the bulls for the

the recipient of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Basketball Officials
sixth annual Post Graduate scholarship.
Maher is the first to win the award under its new name, The Daniel
Wooldridge Scholarship, Honoring retiring ODAC Commissioner Dan Wooldridge.
Maher, a 1997 graduate of Roanoke, was second team all ODAC last season
averaging 10 points and 9 rebounds a game.
