When SWAT team members stormed the boat, they found a 40-caliber handgun next to his body-- the same caliber used to kill two of Cunanan's other suspected victims.
Cunanan had shot himself through the mouth.

A 13-year old Bedford County girl is in critical condition tonight at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Crystal Johnson suffered head injuries after the pick-up truck her uncle was driving was hit head-on by another truck.
The accident happened around one today on Route 43 in Bedford County. State Police say 60-year old Buford Parker of Thaxton crossed the southbound lane into the northbound lane.
The two drivers were transported to Bedford Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Parker is charged with reckless driving.

He also wrote the definition of obscenity.
Brennan served on the high court for 34 years until 1990 when poor health forced him to retire.
The former jurist wrote more than 12 hundred opinions- the second most in the court's history.
He opposed the death penalty and supported abortion rights.
Brennan died today at age 91.

This afternoon, Tim Duncan, the former Wake Forest all-american, who was the number one pick in the draft signed his first pro deal.
No terms were released, but it's likely he will receive rookie salary maximum of $10 point 2 million over three years.
The Spurs plan to play Duncan alongside David Robinson on the front line this coming season.
