A lethal injection last night ended the life of convicted killer Joseph O'Dell.
He was convicted of the 19-85 rape and murder of a Virginia Beach woman.

In his final statement, O'Dell said his marriage at the prison yesterday to legal advisor Lori Urs made this the happiest day of his life.

Convicted killer Michael Knowles sued for slander and defamation after Landers published a letter he wrote.

The Major League Players Association will appeal the fine levied on the Orioles' second baseman for missing the team's exhibition game with its Triple-A Rochester, New York farm club.
