The 17- year- old son of Bedford County sheriff Mike Brown was killed in a traffic accident this morning.
State police say Matthew Brown was driving along a curve when he apparently lost control of his car and went into a ditch.
Brown was partially thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened early this morning, on Route 6-91 near Montvale.
The state trooper investigating the accident says alcohol was NOT a factor in the crash.
