Elizabeth Arden had a bad experience back in 1994 the last time UPS workers went on strike.
It was a busy season and transport managers say a lot of their shipments were delayed.
The company has already diverted some of its merchandise to alternative carriers to avoid getting trapped in the UPS system.
But other catalog companies that use UPS such as Quality Fulfillment Services here in Roanoke say they're sticking with UPS, for now.

Two people are seriously injured tonight in Montgomery County after their motorcycle was struck by a car.

State police say the driver of a Ford Mustang apparently crossed the center line striking the motorcycle.
Authorities are still trying to determine who was driving the car.

Gov. Christine Todd Whitman, R-NJ They were out on the runway by the time the emergency personell from the airport got there which was in seconds of it coming down.
Officials at this, the busiest of three New York area airports, say there was no indication anything was wrong aboard the jet as it approached Newark from Anchorage Alaska. On hitting the runway, the MD-ll flipped over, a wing broke off, and immediately fire broke out.
