In Cary, North Carolina, two men were burned this afternoon in a gas
explosion at a new health club.
A contractor was connecting a clothes dryer to a gas line when it exploded.
Medical helicopters transported the men-- who reportedly suffered second and
third degree burns.

The wreckage of a crashed Federal Express cargo jet is still scattered on
one of three runways at Newark International Airport in New Jersey.
The cause of the crash early yesterday is still under investigation.
Today, the National Transportaion Safety Board displayed the charred flight
The pilot and co-pilot are expected to be interviewed to find out what
happened once the plane touched down.
The jet apparently made an uneventful landing before it flipped over and
burst into flames.
All five people aboard escaped unharmed.
The murder and mutilation of a black man has shattered the normally quiet
community of Elk Creek in Grayson County.
In the early morning hours last Friday, the sheriff's department received a
tip on a murder at the home of Louis James (SEP-puh-rano) Ceparano.
Investigators found the burned and decapitated body of 40-year-old Garnett
"G.P." Johnson on a bank near the home.

The state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says
Holdren's customers who bought a Mitsubishi product with an extended-service
contract may get a refund.
The money would come from a company that provided financing through an
agreement with Mitsubishi.
Some Holdren's customers were stuck with worthless extended-service

One other racing note. The Robert Yates racing team has hired USAC midget
champion Kenny Irwin to replace Ernie Irvan in the 28 car for next season.
