Nearly 200-thousand teamsters are on strike this morning crippling the
nation's largest package delivery operation, United Parcel Service.

businesses across the country.
After talks between the Teamsters Union and U-P-S broke down late last
night in Washington, the federal appointed mediator John Calhoun Wells was not
sounding optimistic.

Some quick police work helped Lynchburg authorities catch two men suspected
of robbing a convenience store last night.

Around 7:15, the clerk at the Big Horn Market on Leesville Road called 9-1-1
to report she'd been assaulted, then robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.
The clerk was able to give police a description of the suspects' car and a
partial license number.
Investigator Danny Viar happened to be in the area when he heard the call,
and spotted the car leaving the scene.
Police later stopped it on Kenyon Street and took two of the occupants into
custody.
26- year- old Bobby Lee Brown and 21- year- old Larry Russell Ware have both
been charged with robbery.
Police say they recovered some of the money taken in the robbery.
