The family of a man who was shot and killed by Blacksburg Police two years ago has filed a 10-million dollar lawsuit against the town and three of its police officers.

Twenty-two year old Maurice Taylor was shot inside the Revco Drug Store on

Main Street in Blacksburg.
One of the officers recognized Taylor- -knew there was a capias for him for failure to appear in court.
Taylor had what turned out to be a B-B gun in his waistband.
Between the officers, they fired 18 rounds. Twelve shots hit Taylor, including one in the back. And that was the fatal round.
Attorney Bill Cruey filed suit in federal court today on behalf Taylor's children, ages four and five.
