That's what General Josiah Bunting said two years ago.

That is by design, recalling the fate of a lone Shannon Faulkner at the Citadel.

Norwich and A&M integrated their corps in 1974 and '75.
And these students say they made one big mistake: keeping the women isolated.
VMI's spreading the wealth, putting at least one woman in each unit-- AND expecting the same things from its women it expects from its men.

One motorist is in critical condition tonight, another is hospitalized following an accident in Franklin County.

The driver of a pick up truck was transported this afternoon by medical helicopter to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
State Police say the truck hit a Virginia Department of Transportation vehicle.
Troopers say the V-DOT driver ended up in a ditch after trying to avoid the collision.
The accident happened on Route 122 near Gill Bridge in Franklin County.

The United Transportation Workers' Union have filed a class action suit against Norfolk Southern for unspecified damages.

The suit accuses N-S of imposing "the disgusting and barbaric practice of not providing flush toilets" on N-S trains.

The railroad says "N-S's practices are beyond all federal and state standards".
