Investigators say arson destroyed an historic landmark in Buchanan.
30-year-old Duane Bowman is in custody for allegedly starting the fire at the Hotel Botetourt.
He was a resident at the home for mentally handicapped adults.

A task force of the commission tentatively approved a system yesterday.

Burger King says it has pulled all Hudson Food's burgers out of its stores, and will NOT be buying Hudson beef in the future.
Hudson officials called the news a "serious disappointment" but said they are committed to removing the cloud that hangs over its beef processing plant where the contaminated burgers originated.
A Newsweek poll found that 54 percent of the people surveyed were less likely to buy burgers at fast food restaurants because of the scare.

Cosmonauts on the Mir space station got a well-deserved break today.

Yesterday they successfully completed a dangerous repair mission to re-connect damaged power cables.
The cables were damaged when a supply ship hit the station in June.
Since then, Mir has made due with a greatly reduced power supply.
They will reactivate the power system Monday, and Russian space officials say the station's power supply will be back at 90 percent of capacity.
Next month, American astronaut Michael Foale may participate in another space walk to patch up some holes in the damaged module.
