deadly bacteria in food.

The Food and Drug Administration is calling for warning labels on certain
juices-- just one of several new safety measures.
The F-D-A is asking some juice makers to state that unpasturized products do
not go through processing to kill E-coli and may contain organisms which can
cause illness.
Those at greatest risk-- children, the elderly, and people with weakened
immune systems.
There's also an F-D-A consumer alert concerning oysters contaminated with a
marine bacteria.
Eating raw oysters has left more than 100 people sickened in the west.
And following last week's beef recall, the Agriculture Department is
considering tighter controls on meat, including the power to order mandatory
meat recalls and impose stiff fines.
And that may still not be enough.

The 40th Festival is a street cleaner's nightmare.
Thousands pelted each other with tomatoes- More than two tons of tomatoes in
all.
The annual battle left both visitors and streets coated in juicy, squashed
tomatoes.
Many people came well prepared, wearing swim suits, hats and shorts to
keep tomato stains to a minimum.
As the battle died down, visitors frolicked in the tomato pulp sloshing
through the streets.
