((During a closed-door hearing in May, Bramblett's attorneys tried to show
Bramblett suffers from delusions.
It started as a conspiracy by the Hodges, Bramblett believes. Ultimately
police, even his own lawyers joined in- -by Bramblett's logic.
Blaine and Teresa Hodges were killed in their own home exactly three years
ago today- -along with their two children, Winter and Anna Hodges.
The house was set ablaze after the four were killed.
In an audio tape- -recorded after the Hodges were killed, Bramblett told a
story about Winter putting on a show for him, "gyrations" he called it.
"What I had suspected for a year," Bramblett says he thought it "was a
setup. Blaine was trying to buy himself out of jail by using his daughter as a
some type of sexual enticement toward me," Bramblett said on tape.
Psychologist Evan Nelson concluded Hodges suffers from a rare delusional
disorder... believing that the Hodges were involved in a conspiracy against
him... that Police planted evidence and tried to frame him... that he figures
he'll eventually be tried on false evidence.... that his own attorneys are part
of the plot to keep him from having his day in court.))

before but Spangler was unable to bring out Collins' past in court because he
failed to notify the defense in a timely manner.

A man accused of attacking women at two Roanoke County apartment complexes
has been CLEARED of all charges.
Judge Diane Strickland dropped the case today against Ronald Eugene Heavner.
He was arrested in May for aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy.
Heavner's lawyer, David Damico, says D-N-A evidence conclusively showed that
police arrested the wrong man.
A computer printout backed up Heavner's alibi. He was on the Internet when
the crimes were committed.

A cadet from Fork Union Military Academy testified today that he endured
years of abuse at the hands of a teacher.
The student said some of the activities involved spanking and nudity.
The 17-year student told a Fluvanna County judge that he ignored the sexual
undertone of their activities because the two were friends.
Forty-two year-old Gregory Allen Moyer, a science instructor at the
academy, is accused of taking indecent liberties with children.
Another cadet is expected to testify next month. He's considered an
unwilling witness, because Moyer is living with him and his parents in
Richmond.
