((Princess Diana has come home, in the company of her former husband,. in death and in life, tracked by cameras, and an adoring public.
//vox pops from Northolt airport arrival//
She had escaped an unhappy marriage, found a new role championing land mine victims. And it looked like she'd found a little romance with Egyptian playboy movie producer Dodi Fayed. But her family says the media's pursuit of the STORY of her new happiness, snuffed it out.
Seven photographers are being questioned by police in Paris. They chased Diana and companion Dodi's car on motorbikes, down a Paris tunnel, to get a shot of the couple after a romantic dinner. The car swerved, hit one wall, then the other, and crumpled. Fayed and his driver were killed instantly. Diana was pried from the car, but died from cardiac arrest at a Paris hospital.
Her two sons Princes William and Harry, were on vacation at Balmoral castle in Scotland when their father broke the news. They joined Charles, the Queen and Prince Philip for a church service Sunday morning, as the nation woke to the tragedy.
