Some residents in the town of Monterey in Highland County have concerns
about the safety of their water supply.
That, as some schoolchildren have been out sick with bacterial infections.
But according to officials with the Central Shenandoah Health District,
there's no cause for alarm-- and doubt there's any connection between the
illnesses and the water supply.
Initial tests indicate the water is safe-- though it was necessary to
adjust the chlorination system.
Though there is certainly no mandate-- residents CAN boil their water, for
peace of mind.

standards for public schools.

according to an environmental group.
