Joseph Doyle pled not guilty to two felonies and three misdemeanors.
But a Franklin County judge convicted him after dismissing one of the felonies
and reducing another to a misdemeanor.
Doyle's lawyer Tom Roe says the camp directors failed to call police when the
girls reported the incident, and that that had an effect on the case.

boat full of fishing gear.

dam, where rescue workers found a pack of cigarettes floating on the water.
Family members are holding a quiet vigil on shore.
Today they asked to be taken to the search area to help set their minds at

So far there is still no sign of Short, who was seen fishing in several
places on the reservoir before he disappeared.

this morning.

Officers were called to 108 Hillside Court around 11:30 after a neighbor
reported a woman being assaulted outside the building.
Authorities say 28- year- old Raymond Andrew Farmer had been beating his
mother, and ran inside their home when police arrived.
It took about ten officers, a sheriff's dog and several doses of chemical
spray to subdue Farmer and handcuff him.

A former High School math teacher has filed a one- million dollar lawsuit
against Bland County.
Lawyers for Thomas N. Bird say he was "taunted and beaten bloody by a
delinquent student," then fired for trying to defend himself.
All this happened on the last day of school two years ago. It started when
Seventeen year old Samuel Blankenship made an obscene gesture at Bird-
-according to the complaint filed Friday in federal court.
Superintendent Jack Gold concluded- -at the time- -that Bird should be
fired for striking Blankenship. Bird says he tried to defend himself, but
denies assaulting the student.
