The largest employer in Giles County may be getting a little smaller.
The Celco plant in Narrows has about 13-hundred hourly workers.
But Susan (Greg-or-wreck), Gregorek a local union representative says Celco
has alerted the union that as many as five-hundred jobs could be impacted by
some kind of cost-cutting move.
Celco makes materials used in cigarette filters, and yarn for synthetic
clothes.
The company has not commented on any impending personnel changes.

are being analyzed in the murder investigations of three girls in Spotsylvania
County.

Prince William County authorities say 39-year old Michael Alan Jett is a
"viable suspect" in the slayings of Sofia Silva and sisters Kristen and Kati
Lisk.
THe bodies of the Lisk sisters were found in a River.
Eight months earlier, Silva's body was discovered in a creek.
Samples were taken from Jett after he reportedly talked to another inmate
about the girls.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department says Jett is just one of
thousands of leads.
