Word of restructuring at a major plant in Narrows is causing some concern.
The mayor of Narrows estimates at least half of the town's labor force works at what everybody there has always called the Celanese plant.

John McQuail, a Human Resources Coordinator with the company, says the 500 jobs estimate is a ballpark figure.
McQuail says if hourly workers go along with the restructuring program those effected will have job security at least through the year 2000.
The union at Celco must still vote on the proposal.
