A military hearing officer today recommended court martial for Sergeant major of the Army Gene McKinney on 22 charges of sexual misconduct.
McKinney didn't testify during his two-month hearing, but in sworn statements, he denied all the allegations and said the case was racially motivated.

But he was a "single" man. McGwire went 2 for 5 with an R-B-I single as the Cards lost to the Cubs 4-to-3.
McGwire now has 10 games left to hit eight homers and tie Roger Maris' all-time record.

In California, a motorist apparently decided to go for a swim except the pool was empty and the driver never left the truck.
