That's what his attorney's saying after a 78- year old Canadian man with Parkinson's disease became the latest person to end his life with Kevorkian's help.
Attorney Geoffrey Fieger (FY'-gur) released a letter written by the patient... who said he didn't want to be -- quote -- ``reduced to the indignities of childhood diapers, spoon-feeding, or semi-death.''
Saturday's incident is the fourth assisted suicide that has been linked to Kevorkian since late August.

Former users of the diet drug combination known as Fen-Phen are demanding that the drugs' makers pay for their heart monitoring.

Studies have shown that the combination of fenfluramine, dexfenfluramine, and phentermine has been linked to serious heart damage.
Two of the drugs, under the brand names Pondimi and Redux, were pulled off the market a week ago by the FDA.
Class action suits have now been filed by the drugs' users in New York, Utah, Colorado, California, and Hawaii.

Donald Beverly says that automatic clip came from a deputy's weapon.
Beverly did not want to talk on camera, but he says law officers kicked in doors, cut up his furniture and searched him.
He says neither the officers nor the search dogs found drugs in his possession.
Beverly says all the drugs and alcohol found were snuck in by pool hall patrons.
Beverly faces public nuisance charges and selling alcohol without a license.
He says he has proof the second charge is false.
Sheriff Reed says Hustlers has been a source of trouble for months and the permit used to open the hall may be pulled.

A secessionist organization that wants to create a new Southern nation is supporting plans to open a new all-male military school in the South.
The group called League of the South says it can envision turning out leaders in the tradition of Robert E- Lee and Stonewall Jackson.
In the wake of women at The Citadel and VMI, some alumni from those schools are already trying to raise 50 million dollars for a private Christian, Confederate military college.
One of the sites that's been mentioned is the old Augusta Military Academy in Staunton.

The Senate Agriculture Committee is preparing a bill that would end the programs.
Committee Chairman Richard Lugar says the bill will be ready this fall.

But, a poll in The Washington Post last week made it clear that Jim Gilmore won't be able to ride George Allen's coattails.

The Post poll has Democrat Don Beyer with 44- percent and Republican Gilmore with 43- percent.
But Gilmore takes the lead by one point among those who say they're "likely" to vote.

Both outcomes are well within a four point margin of error, making the race for governor still that "statistical dead heat" that it's been in all media polls since January.
But the poll also shows that while about two thirds of Virginians think Republican Governor George Allen's done a good job, only about half of those voters favoring Allen are backing Gilmore to succeed him.

Jeff Gordon started up front but he dropped back to the 12-th spot with 299 laps to go in the race.
But Ernie Irvan was the car on the move he started 33-rd and he was running fourth with 291 laps to go.
Would this be Earnhardt's day to break out of the slump he was looking good running 8-th at this point in the race.
Mark Martin was the leader with 276 laps to go but Kyle Petty blew by him to take the lead on lap 161 and he was the leader at the halfway mark. Kyle started 23-rd.
Kyle's car was very strong later in the race he passes Jeff Gordon putting him a lap down leaving only 5 cars on the lead lap.

We start our journey in Roanoke and Roanoke County where many changes are in progress.
The Peters Creek Road Extension from Melrose to Shenandoah avenue is FINALLY open to traffic.
The section from Shenandoah to Brandon Avenue isn't scheduled to open until next summer.
On Bridge Street in Roanoke, the bridge over the Roanoke River is scheduled to be closed for 30 days of repairs, starting September 29-- And there's no detour set up.
Finally, in Roanoke, repairs on the Dale Avenue bridge are set to get underway soon, squeezing traffic in both directions down to one lane.
There's no detour there either.
Elsewhere around the region, there's no new construction to report. But, there are some ongoing projects. pre-pro
in Rockbridge County there is bridge work on 64 so be on the lookout for possible lane closures and delays. pre-pro
Also, on Route 64 in Augusta County, there is paving work and fog light repair on Afton Mountain-- and the speed limit over the mountain is reduced to 55 mph-- so expect some delays.

The annual hot air balloon festival took place this weekend as nearly a hundred balloons of all shapes and sizes filled the sky.
The festival also features model airplane and kite flying.
The show ends tonight with more than one hundred balloons flying under the moonlight.
