A bill to stop the programs is in the works of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
Committee Chairman Richard Lugar says the bill will be ready this fall.

A secessionist organization that wants to create a new Southern nation, is supporting a plan to open a new all-male military school in the South.
The group called League of the South says it can envision turning out leaders in the tradition of Robert E- Lee and Stonewall Jackson.
In the wake of women at The Citadel and V-M-I, some alumni from those schools are already trying to raise 50 million dollars for a private Christian, Confederate military college.
One of the sites that's been mentioned is the old Augusta Military Academy in Staunton.
