Frank Helvestine did not intend for anyone to be injured, but he supplied parts for a pipe bomb that killed a young child in 1975.
Though he is now 76 years old and in poor health, he was sentenced today to 12 years in prison for his part in the crime.

((His career like his charismatic smile had disappeared and the world was watching. In court Marv Albert pled guilty to a misdemeanor assault and battery charge hours later NBC SPORTS fired him and Albert then resigned as voice of the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers.

Before the plea bargain Albert faced a possible life in prison if he was convicted of forcible sodomy. The prosecution said the commonwealth and the victim were satisfied. Albert was charged with biting this ) 42-year old Virginia woman and forcing her to perform oral sex last February. Her testimony and the testimony of this woman Wednesday sealed his fate. She told jurors Albert sexually assaulted her in 1993 and again in '94 and once while wearing women's panties and a garter belt. Albert's lawyer says it was never the evidence but rather Virginia state law that doomed his client.

Later today fans can get an eyeful of both the Super Trucks and the Winston Cup cars with practice beginning at 9:30 this morning. Qualifying for the Cup cars begins at 3 o'clock, and right after that around four, the Craftsman Truck series time trials get underway.
Tickets are $10 bucks a piece.

The twins are just 24 days old-
Mom and dad giraffee are looking like proud parents.
They have reason to be proud- this could be the only set of twin giraffees.
Zoo officials say they haven't found any evidence of another case of twin giraffes in scientific records.
