accidents, but it's rare to actually witness the case you're working.
But that's exactly what happened May 24th-- the evening Christopher Fisher's
truck collided with a car, near Shawsville.

Rakes says he zeroed in on Fisher, as a suspect, when he smelled alcohol.
Nearly four hours after the accident-- tests would reveal Fisher's blood
alcohol content to be twice the legal limit.

but found comfort when the judge convicted Fisher of driving under the
influence and possession of marijuana.

Fisher's court appearances aren't over-- he's still facing an involuntary
manslaughter charge-- which was certified today to a grand jury.

A South Boston family received word today that their son is presumed dead.

The search goes on for bodies after a plane crash in Indonesia.
It was hazy out when the Indonesian airliner went down with 234 people
Officials say 212 bodies have been spotted in the wreckage.

It was just yesterday that Albert pleaded guilty to a misdeameanor charge of
assault and battery.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped a charge of forcible sodomy.
Albert could get up to a year in jail- when he's sentenced next month.
A Roanoke dentist testified at Albert's trial.

Kagey says he believes there was enough evidence with the D-N-A and bite
marks to convict Albert of sexual assault.
Another witness is now providing a clearer picture of events leading up to
the crash that killed Princess Diana.

first one had two individuals on it and they were most aggressive and
proceeded to get in front of -- or they were heading in the direction to get
in front of -- the car. My assumption. I felt that one motorcycle
was certainly, without hesitation, in any doubt whatsoever, was driving
aggressively and dangerously.

motorbikes much closer to the Princess' car at the time of the crash in this
tunnel than the accounts given by the photographers and their attorneys.
When contacted by CBS News and asked about Anderson's account, one of those

Hager had to testify about his role in nicotine research for a Pennsylvania
Today, Democrat L-F Payne had his own deposition to deal with.
Payne is president and founder of Wintergreen Development -- the target of a
federal civil lawsuit.

In 1995, they say they learned what threat rain clouds hold for them.
Speaking through their attorney, the Childs say they're measuring the
downhill progress of their garage and parts of their house, after what their
engineers believe to be a rain-induced landslide.
They say they should have been warned of the potential.
Payne resumed the presidency of Wintergreen Development after the house was
built, but before the garage broke free.

So Payne alleges it was NO landslide.
But in fact, Wintergreen's own engineer has called the lot "a historic

A 12 year old Utah boy is a firm believer in the old saying "sure and
steady wins the race."
That's because Ryan Tripp has spent the last seven weeks riding his lawn
mower into the Guiness Book of World Records.
Ryan has traveled about 80 miles a day at 10 miles a hour.
Ryan wasn't just trying to make history. He was raising money for a Utah
baby that needs a liver transplant.
He got the idea after his Dad's truck broke down and he had to ride the

While in Washington, Ryan wasn't able to mow the White House front lawn, but
