It was not your typical convenience store hold up in Roanoke yesterday.
Police arrested 37- year- old Wendy Brickey, after she allegedly entered a
convenience store, bought a soft drink and then pulled out a gun and demanded
money.
The clerk handed over some cash but the robber returned it, saying there was
too little, and then left the store.
Police say Brickey is also wanted in a series of armed robberies in Roanoke
and surrounding counties.

American Electric Power today reveals its plans for a proposed high-voltage
transmission line from Wyoming County in West Virginia to near Roanoke.
Plans for the line were slowed last year when the U-S Forest Service
refused to allow it to cross the Jefferson National Forest in Virginia saying
it would impair wildlife habitat.
American Electric has said massive blackouts could occur if the line isn't
put in.
