A response to a fire call was just the beginning yesterday.
Sheriff Warren Manning say firemen found evidence that 29- year- old James Andrew Perdue set the fire in Carroll County.
When police tried to stop Perdue, he reportedly led them on a chase and rammed a police car.

The pact would mean U-S Airways could go ahead with a 14 billion dollar deal to buy 400 new jets.

A Richmond judge has asked the General Assembly for more than 400 thousand dollars to fund a special "drug court."
The experimental court is designed to rehabilitate long- time addicts and keep them out of prison.
Circuit Judge Donald Lemons told the State Crime Commission that the effort has had some success, but money has almost run out.
The Richmond drug court pilot program began almost a year ago.
Another drug court is operating in Roanoke.
It focuses on first and second time offenders.
