In Mississippi, an eleventh grader is under arrest for allegedly shooting
several people after killing his mother.
The shootings occurred at a high school near Jackson and police say it
stemmed from a troubled romance.
Two people were killed, included the alleged gunman's ex-girlfriend.
Four others were wounded.
Police say earlier the teen killed his mother by slashing her throat.
The wounded were taken to area hospitals.
Their conditions do not appear to be life-threatening.
In a goodwill gesture, Israel today released the ailing spiritual leader of
the Palestinian militant group, Hamas.

At Denver International Airport three people were injured in an early
morning collision between a shuttle bus and a cargo jet.
It happened on a taxiway at the airport.
The driver of the bus, which transports airport employees, and the jet's
