After 75-years as a family-owned business in Roanoke, Shepherd's has entered
into a contract with Fisher Auto Supply of Staunton.
Shepherd's ran into financial difficulty last month and shut its doors for a
few days.
The publicity prompted several potential buy-out offers.
Last night company President Lillian Brown signed the deal and she started
showing Art Fisher around the properties yesterday.

Washington is getting set for a weekend visit by hundreds of thousands of
Christian men.
Members of the Promise
Keepers plan to turn the National Mall into a gigantic church.
They promise to lead better lives as husbands, fathers and community
members.
Some of those men made a stop in Buena Vista as they travel to the event on
motorcycles.

Christian Motorcyclists Association are winding up their cross-country bike
ride.
They came to Glen Muary Park in Buena Vista --the next to last site in a
10-stop trek. Their final destination--the Promisekeepers rally in Washington,
DC, Saturday where many hope to spiritually heal themselves and the nation.
