After 75-years as a family-owned business in Roanoke, Shepherd's has entered into a contract with Fisher Auto Supply of Staunton.
Shepherd's ran into financial difficulty last month and shut its doors for a few days.
The publicity prompted several potential buy-out offers.
Last night company President Lillian Brown signed the deal and she started showing Art Fisher around the properties yesterday.

Washington is getting set for a weekend visit by hundreds of thousands of Christian men.
Members of the Promise Keepers plan to turn the National Mall into a gigantic church.
They promise to lead better lives as husbands, fathers and community members.
Some of those men made a stop in Buena Vista as they travel to the event on motorcycles.

Call this the calm before the storm. About two thousand bikers with the Christian Motorcyclists Association are winding up their cross-country bike ride.
They came to Glen Muary Park in Buena Vista --the next to last site in a 10-stop trek. Their final destination--the Promisekeepers rally in Washington, DC, Saturday where many hope to spiritually heal themselves and the nation.
