The 49ers took control in the NFC west last Monday night with a win over the Panthers.
They plan to keep control this coming weekend against the Rams.
The Niners were off this past weekend but Steve Mason was not as he checks in tonight with an update on former UVa star Terry Kirby.

Kirby is doing what he's supposed to; run the ball hard when called upon. Terry averaged over five yards a carry and scored a touchdown in the Panther game. He's even come to grips with the positives of not being the man. ((:))

The Charlotte Hornets and Muggsy Bogues have ended their preseason feud, at least sort of.
last night Muggsy agreed to the Hornets' demand that he have an MRI test down on his left knee before allowing him to practice.
Bogues went in for the test last night, but he also filed grievance against the club with the player's union.
