Christy Harden was there the night Garnett "GP" Johnson was burned alive and decapitated.
The two, and some friends, had been celebrating her 21st birthday before the night got out of hand.
At first, Harden told police her close friend, Emmett Cressell Junior-- was not involved.
However, later said Cressell helped carry Johnson's body outside shortly before he was killed.
But Cressell's attorney says the fact his client was one of the first to report the crime proves he wasn't involved, although Harden testified, Cressell smelled of gasoline.

No official explanation has been given for Henne leaving, but the mayor's office has issued a statement saying they will discuss the matter at the next council meeting on Monday.

That's because colder water can safely absorb more nutrients than warmer water can.
And nothing is decided in Covington without Westvaco weighing in.
The city's largest company isn't warming up to the idea of warmer water.

Virginia Military Institute has placed two cadets on campus confinement for a month after they were caught kissing each other in the barracks.
The male and female rats were discovered under a desk in a dark room in late September.

A grand jury in Appomattox County indicted two teenagers charged with murder yesterday.

Eighteen- year- olds Brandon Wayne Hedrick and Trevor Andrew Jones are accused of abducting, robbing and shooting Lisa Yvonne Crider to death in May.
Police say Hedrick confessed to shooting Crider in the head after she reportedly stole drugs from him.
He's charged with murder in commission of a robbery, abduction and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Hedrick's trial is scheduled for the week of January 5th.. Jones will stand trial in February.

Union leaders have pledged to fight the ten-billion dollar plan to carve up Conrail.
A-F-L- C-I-O leaders in Washington yesterday discussed the proposed split of Conrail by C-S-X and Norfolk Southern.
The officials said the deal puts railroad workers at risk as their companies get bigger and the potential for accidents increases.
Labor also is concerned that the two buyers expect to eliminate two-thousand jobs.
The proposed deal is under review by the federal Surface Transportation Board.
