A single car accident claimed the life of a man in Roanoke County last
night.

Police say Jacob Wickert lost control of his vehicle and drove over the
embankment.
The car then became airborne and landed on Route 2-20 North.
Wickert died at the scene.
Traffic was blocked on 2-20 for over two hours.

Police say 24- year- old James Antonio Hodge shot and killed Elmer Ray
Hagwood shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Twenty-two- year- old Hagwood was found dead on a street in Bassett.
