A bad accident at the intersection of 220 and Sanderson Drive in Cloverdale tonight.
State police say a small truck smashed into a car that pulled out in front of it.
The injured included a passenger in the truck and three people in the car who reportedly had to be cut from the vehicle.
Police say one suffered serious injuries, the other three had minor injuries and all were taken to Roanoke Memorial and Community Hospitals.
Residents in the area say traffic was at a standstill for almost an hour.

Officials launched the program about two weeks ago. It lets truckers help troopers by using their CBs to report drunk and or reckless car drivers and those who break the law.
So far Overnite trucking company is the only firm that's signed up.
But, in spite of the criticism police are defending the program.
They point out that the program has already netted its first victim -- a drunk driver turned in by a trucker near Wytheville.
They also say the program isn't biased on the side of truck drivers since all motorists are encouraged to contact police if they spot problem drivers as well.

after a woman is swept away by flood water-
(Goo-lay) Gulay Cabbar was trapped in her car in the middle of a river.
Rescuers tried to pull the car to safety with a rope.
But the river was too strong and Cabar, screaming for help through her car window, was washed down river where her car slammed into a tree.
Cabbar managed to then pull open the car door and swim to safety.
As she recovered in hospital, she said she thought she was going to die but miraculously she was saved.

After a year long battle with testicular cancer Lance Armstrong is coming back to pro cycling.

Today the 1993 world champion signed a one year deal to ride for the United State Postal Service cycling team beginning in 1998.
Armstrong revealed he had cancer on October 8th of last year.
