Chief medical examiner, Dr. David Oxley, has ruled out a heart attack or spinal trauma in the death of 16-year-old Danny Lee Cook.

Crew members on board the yacht frantically tried to flee the crumbling vessle as it quickly went underwater.
One crewman was able to jump free but the other two were sucked under.
Remarkably they all bobbed up again and were rescued.

And, now it looks as if a pedestrian and bicycle lane across the highway WILL be included.

It should be completed by the holiday shopping season of 1998.
Roanoke City Council will approve a construction bid this week, and City Manager Bob Herbert is recommending the low bid that INCLUDES construction of the bike path and walkway.

It's the first big paper to express a preference this year.

STANDUP: IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. AND IN FACT, IT IS! THERE WAS NO GERBER LAWSUIT. THERE WAS NO GERBER SETTLEMENT. THERE IS NO FREE SAVINGS BOND. SO WHAT S GOING ON HERE? APPARENTLY, GERBER S NAME GOT CONNECTED TO A MINNEAPOLIS POST OFFICE BOX USED TO PROCESS CLAIMS IN AN INFANT FORMULA CASE. A REFUND OFFER THAT S LONG SINCE EXPIRED.
PRODUCT/FAXES Gerber had nothing to do with THAT lawsuit. But word of the bogus Gerber offer keeps getting passed around.

Relatively small overdoses of acetaminophen (UH-SET-UH-MEN-O-FEN), Tylenol's active ingredient, have been blamed for liver damage and even deaths in children in the United States.
The F-D-A wants manufacturers to explain correct dosages for children under 2 years old, instead of using the current labels that simply tell parents to consult their doctors.

It sounds almost like a halloween story... British scientists say they've successfully cloned a frog embryo without a head... and they say it will work with humans.
The scientists say they should be able to clone a headless human body and use the organs for transplants.
A cloning ethics expert says he believes it will happen within ten years.
Dr. Patrick Dixon says headless human cloning could happen in countries with no laws governing the issue, because the demand is there, and the technology is almost there.

((No major changes or construction going on along the roadways this week. But, there are a some lane closings and detours to report.
V-D-O-T says work will begin in about 30 minutes under bridges along Interstate 581 and that the southbound lanes of 581 will be closed to traffic from I-81 to Exit 2 the Peters Creek Road exit.
The shut down will last until 5 a-m and will be in effect Tuesday morning during the same hours. pre-pro
Drainage work continues along Route 122 in Moneta but VDOT says a new detour will soon be in place.
And, finally there are a lot of construction projects continuing along the roadways and while they may slow you down, VDOT's Laura Bullock has this reminder.

The car was supposed to climb a platform and burst into flames when hitting the ground. But the driver missed the platform and lost control of the car.
