It's all circumstantial. The Commonwealth's Attorney told the jury: "I can't play you a video tape of Mr. Bramblett going in and shooting the [Hodges] in the head."
The Hodges home provided a host of evidence: - -ballistics; the bullets used to kill three of the victims match the chemical composition of 22-caliber cartridges found in Bramblett's possession. - -accelerant used to fuel the fire. Bramblett was found scrubbing a pair of blue jeans that bore traces of an accelerant - -the same chemical used to start three separate fires in the Hodges home. - -photos and tapes. Bramblett recorded telephone conversations with 11-year old Winter Hodges, one of the victims. He also had a photograph of her in the bath tub. Soon after they arrived at the house, police and firemen realized they had a homicide on their hands.
