conviction.
That would have left his wife and daughters home alone while he was serving
time in prison.
Friends of the family were afraid of what might happen in Blaine's
absence... especially since Earl Bramblett spent so much time at the Hodges
home.
Keith Humphry says those fears came up today in Bramblett's capital murder
trial.

On a radio show in January of this year, Hager and a caller discussed
retiring the state song.

Hager's spokesman says it was a flip remark in answer to the caller and
wasn't meant to be insensitive.
And on a possible Confederate flag license plate, Hager said it would be
okay if done "in a dignified and non-confontational manner."
