Investigators found bullet holes in the side of the house and shells
Farmer was found -- dead -- inside.
The Sheriff says he has no motive yet and cannot predict when he will make
Farmer's mother was at the scene last night, along with a crowd of
bystanders who stood out in the rain, watching for hours.

A friend of Earl Bramblett from Spartanburg, South Carolina took the witness
stand in Bramblett's capital murder trial this morning.
James Lee Owens said Bramblett referred to some trouble back in Virginia
when they lived together, but Bramblett never told him what it was about.

Norfolk Southern reports its earnings were higher than expected during the
last three months.
In fact, the railway says its net income was a record 203-million dollars
during the third quarter.
